Located in the heart of Northwestern Ontario's Sunset Country on the Trans Canada Highway, the Municipality of Machin is comprised of 3 communities all based on Eagle Lake. The communities include Eagle River, Minnitaki, and Vermilion Bay. Machin is approximately 40 miles west of Dryden, and offers many industries and services to its population of 1200.
Tourism, forestry and mining are the primary industries supporting this area. Tourism is quickly growing as indicated by the number of resorts, hotels and businesses setting up shop.
